Payment processing for restaurants and bars
Whether guests pay at the counter or at the table, you need tips handled cleanly and batches that close without surprises. We set up terminals around how your service actually runs.
Who it's for
Food and drink businesses that take cards at a counter, a table or a pickup window.
- Full-service restaurants that want guests to pay at the table
- Quick-service restaurants, cafes and food trucks
- Bars that hold a card to open a tab
- Restaurants adding online ordering [PLACEHOLDER: Confirm online ordering support]
How it works
- Step 1
Walk us through your service
Counter service, table service, a bar or delivery: how you serve guests decides which terminals fit.
- Step 2
Choose your terminals
Wireless terminals go to the table. Countertop terminals or PIN pads stay at the register.
- Step 3
Set up tips and receipts
We set up tip prompts, tip adjustment and receipt layout to match how your staff handle tips.
- Step 4
Train your team
We walk managers and servers through daily batching, tip adjustments and refunds before you open.
Pricing for restaurants
Restaurant pricing depends on your volume, average ticket and how your guests pay. We'll compare a standard rate structure with the Pay Net Zero option for your menu. [PLACEHOLDER: Restaurant pricing, or a note that it is quoted individually]
- A written quote that names every fee
- Tip and batch settings configured before you open
- Pay Net Zero option with menu and receipt wording

Questions we hear
The questions merchants ask us most. Ask us anything else on a call.
Can guests add a tip on the terminal?
Yes. Terminals can prompt for a tip as a percentage or an amount, or you can adjust tips after the sale when guests write them on the receipt. We set it up whichever way you work.
Can I take payment at the table?
Yes. A wireless terminal connects over Wi-Fi or 4G, so servers can bring it to the table and guests tap, insert or swipe without their card leaving their sight.
Can I run bar tabs?
Restaurant setups can hold a card with a pre-authorization and close the tab later with the final amount and tip. [PLACEHOLDER: Confirm tab support on the terminals TurnKey recommends]
Can a restaurant use a cash discount?
Often, yes, through our Pay Net Zero program. Your menu, signs and receipts need to show the pricing clearly, and the rules depend on your state.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Terminals with 4G can keep processing over the cellular network. [PLACEHOLDER: Explain offline or store-and-forward options on the terminals TurnKey recommends]
